Fresh Seafood in Newport
Our Bayfront location is a casually sophisticated fish market and grill unlike any other around.
Downstairs, market-style dining is accented with a central open kitchen where chefs prepare fresh grilled seafood dishes, floor-to-ceiling windows with roll-up glass doors afford views of the fishing boats in the harbor and the Yaquina Bay Bridge in the distance.
Upstairs, panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean to the Coast Range are the backdrop to a more intimate dining experience, including a cozy beer and wine bar.
Seating Policy & Reservations
We offer 20% of our total seats for reservations, up to 180 days in advance. However, the majority of our seating is walk-in customers, so if you can't make a reservation for the time you like, please come anyway. For parties of 8 or larger, please contact the restaurant directly at 541-574-7959.
Food should taste good, and with seafood, freshness is as important as preparation. Local Ocean Seafoods buys fish directly from boats here in Newport – so you get it at its freshest. It's what makes our seafood taste so great.
Food should be produced in a clean way that does not harm the environment, or our health. The fin fish at Local Ocean Seafoods is all wild. Wild harvest fisheries are clean and natural – no farmed salmon or shrimp on our menu.
“Local Ocean Seafoods makes it easy to be a locavore. Labels tell you where the seafood came from, how it was harvested – even the name of the boat that pulled it in.”
Food producers should receive fair compensation for their work. Local Ocean Seafoods pays top dollar directly to fishermen for the high-quality fish we serve. By eliminating the middle man, we can also serve our seafood at fair prices.
