The Local Ocean Experience

What We Stand For

Local Ocean Newport Oregon serves a seafare experience unlike any other. From the boat straight to your plate. Dungeness crab, clam, scallop fish stew.

Oregon's fisheries are worth celebrating. Join us as we look at fisheries science, sustainability, gear innovation, and our local fishermen that bring it all together.

Halibut

Oregon halibut are known to be smaller than those caught in BC or Alaska. We think this makes them more tender and flavorful. The season is short, but is in full-swing this July and August!

Local Ocean - Black Cod

BLACK COD

Delicate and flaky, it has a rich flavor and velvety texture. Black Cod is high in Omega-3’s and is also known as the butterfish.
