Local Ocean Seafoods has become the premier destination for fresh, local seafood in Newport and on the Oregon Coast. Whether you have a craving for our famous fish tacos, shopping for fresh crab in the fish market or getting a kids meal at the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Local Ocean aims to give you the best seafood experience of your life. It's our mission, and not a day goes by that we don't hear that directly from our customers.
Local Ocean strives to operate within the principals of sustainability. The seafood we serve is considered “Green Light” or “Yellow Light” from the Monterey Bay Aquarium's seafood watch list (with the majority of it in the green).

Our Bayfront location is a casually sophisticated fish market and grill unlike any other around. Market-style dining is accented with a central open kitchen where chefs prepare fresh grilled seafood dishes, floor-to-ceiling windows with roll-up glass doors afford views of the fishing boats in the harbor and the Yaquina Bay Bridge in the distance.
You can now dine with us at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Like our flagship restaurant on the Bayfront, the Café emphasizes fresh, local seafoods. We also have an expanded selection of non-seafood sandwiches, salads, pizza and a special kids menu. The next time you visit the aquarium, be sure to stop by!
