2025 Seafood & Wine Festival Recap
Newport’s Seafood & Wine Festival once again proved why it’s one of the most anticipated events on the Oregon Coast! We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who braved the crowds and unpredictable winter storms to visit us at this year’s festival.
A Celebration of Seafood, Wine, and Local Talent
With over 50 wineries pouring some of the best wines from across the Pacific Northwest, nearly a dozen musical acts providing the perfect festival soundtrack, and a variety of local restaurants serving up fresh seafood, the weekend was a true feast for the senses.
At Local Ocean, we had an absolute blast welcoming guests to our booth and debuting our pop-up Dungeness crab restaurant—a first for us! Serving a four-course seafood dinner inside a tent on the Oregon Coast in winter was no small feat, but we took on the challenge and loved every moment. A huge thank you to everyone who dined with us and supported this unique experience.

Local Ocean Wins 1st Place in Chowder Competition
We’re beyond thrilled to share that Local Ocean’s culinary team took 1st place in the festival’s chowder competition—for the second year in a row! Our award-winning Razor Clam Chowder, featuring Quinault tribe razors, was a festival favorite and a true taste of the Oregon Coast.
A special congratulations to Fishtails Café for winning the People’s Choice Award—a well-deserved honor! And a big shoutout to all the other talented chefs who competed in this exciting new festival tradition.
